A New Chapter: Jaindl Land Company Acquires Moselem Springs Golf Club
In early 2022, Jaindl Land Company closed on the purchase of Moselem Springs Golf Club in Richmond Township, marking the beginning of a new era for the historic Berks County course.
The acquisition came during a surge of interest in golf that followed the pandemic, and represented the Jaindl family’s expanding move into the hospitality industry. Moselem Springs was their second golf course purchase in two months, following their acquisition of Iron Lakes in the Lehigh Valley (since renamed Twin Lakes).
David Jaindl made it clear from the start that the course’s identity would remain intact. “It’s been a very active course since its inception and it’s going to stay a golf course,” he said. “The improvements we’re talking about are mostly cosmetic improvements that the membership will see.”
Moselem Springs continues to operate as a private club, now managed by Kemper Sports. The transition was designed to be seamless for members, preserving the traditions and character that have defined the club since it opened in 1964.
“The prior owners were great folks and they did a wonderful job,” Jaindl said. “They’ve entrusted this gem to us and we’re not going to let them down.”
